New standard change guide for low-voltage switchgear assembly

Important update: GB/T 7251.2-2023 The new standard for Low-voltage Switchgear and Control equipment - Part 2: Power Switchgear and Control Equipment - was published on August 6, 2023 and will be implemented on March 1, 2024, replacing the old GB/T 7251.12-2013 standard.

🌟 Certification implementation schedule:
From the date of the announcement of the change to February 29, 2024, enterprises can voluntarily choose to be certified in accordance with the new standard or the old standard.
From March 1, 2024, the certification body will adopt the new version of the standard for certification, and issue the new version of the standard certification, and no longer issue the old version of the standard certification.

🔄 Old certificate conversion time limit:
Products that have been certified according to the old version of the standard can start to change the standard version of the relevant certificate from the date of the announcement of the change of the version. In principle, the replacement of the old certificate should be completed by 28 February 2025.
One year after the date of implementation of the standard, the certificate that has not completed the standard version of the suspension period is 1 year. During the suspension period, enterprises can still apply for standard version change.
If the replacement is not completed at the end of the suspension period, the corresponding certificate will be revoked.

🔍 Standard version change implementation plan:
For complete sets of equipment used in photovoltaic facilities, in addition to Table 1, differential testing should be supplemented according to the requirements of Table 2.
No sample replacement certificate: According to the original report and the data provided by the factory to verify the compliance with the standard, without sample testing of the certified unit, issue a verification report. The information provided by the factory shall include the nameplate that meets the requirements of the new standard.
Sample delivery principle: When it comes to the strength of materials and components, representative samples can be selected for testing according to standard requirements. When multiple certificates of the same factory have the same certification mode, involving the same test items of the same materials and components, meeting the requirements of the standard through comparative verification, only a representative sample of one of the certificates can be sent for testing.

🛠️ Related materials and parts samples:
Relevant materials and components shall be included in the key parts of the sample structure description.
If the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test was done in the original report, send the sample to make up the difference test. If the same factory has multiple certificates with the same certification mode, the sample can be selected according to the following principles: If the electronic circuit structure and product structure are the same as installed according to the EMC requirements of the specified environment, a representative sample of the certificate can be provided for testing, and other certificates can not be sent; If the electronic circuit structure or product structure is different, it needs to be verified separately.
When insulation material is covered to provide electric shock protection, it is necessary to send samples for power frequency withstand voltage test. Units with the same insulation material and different thickness can be tested on the minimum thickness unit, and other units can not send samples, and the insulation material will be included in the critical part management. The company claims that the covered insulation material does not act as an electric shock protection, can be exempted from the test.
Photovoltaic complete equipment (PVA), need to send samples to make up the difference test. Have obtained the valid CQC certificate of category 020037 photovoltaic complete sets of equipment, the same factory has the same certification mode of multiple certificates, for the same model, the same structure of the same series of products, in principle can choose one/one set of typical samples for testing.
